Salmon review by Deana
Every year, without fail, our girls trip from Florida to Buffalo includes one non negotiable stop. Romans in Batavia. It is more than dinner. It is tradition. It is the night that anchors our entire weekend. We travel north to gather at one of our best girlfriend's beautiful second home, and all day there is an almost childlike excitement because we know what is coming. Romans night. After sunshine and palm trees, there is something extra special about walking into a place that feels warm, welcoming, and familiar. The room hums with laughter, clinking glasses, and the unmistakable energy of people genuinely enjoying themselves. This year was no exception. Our server, Becky, was delightful, polished, and effortlessly professional. She knew the specials so thoroughly and expressed each one so artfully that we could almost taste them before they even reached the table. She described textures, flavors, and pairings in a way that made us lean in and hang on every word. It was not a simple recitation of the menu. It was storytelling. And then the food arrived. Our table was a celebration in itself. Linguini with clam sauce that tasted like the ocean in the best possible way. Eggplant parmesan layered and comforting without being heavy. French onion soup with that perfectly golden, bubbling crown of cheese. Fresh salads that balanced the richness of the entrées. Pillowy gnocchi wrapped in silky vodka sauce. Bucatini cooked to that ideal al dente bite. Perfectly prepared salmon. A tender filet that needed nothing more than a fork. Pizza with that ideal crisp yet chewy bite that somehow invited just one more slice even when we swore we were full. Cocktails that were beautifully crafted, balanced, and honestly fit for a king. There is something powerful about a restaurant that can serve such a variety of dishes to one large table and have every single one land flawlessly. Not one disappointment. Not one compromise. What truly makes Romans special is how it makes you feel. We were not rushed. We were not overlooked. We were taken care of. Becky anticipated what we needed before we asked. She added to the experience without ever intruding on it. We come all the way from Florida, and Romans is still one of the highlights of our trip every single year. That says something. In a world where restaurants change, trends fade, and standards slip, Romans remains steady, exceptional, and deeply memorable. It is woven into our girls trip tradition, and it would feel incomplete without it. Some places serve food. Romans creates nights you carry with you long after the plates are cleared. We will be back next year. Just like always.

Linguini with Clam Sauce review by Nancy
Delicious entree! This was the first time I've eaten at Romans. My siblings live in Rochester and Buffalo, and we chose Batavia as a central meeting place to take my 87-year-old mom for her birthday. The atmosphere was great as well as, the service. We couldn't have asked for a better evening. Thank you all! I meet family and friends in Batavia often, as it's between Rochester & Buffalo. I will be sure to eat at Roman's again....soon!
Linguini with Clam Sauce review by Patrick

The Venice review by Joe
Brought the grandparents out for dinner on a friday, although busy as one would assume, they got us right in! We ordered the venice and the roman pizzas to share, they were perfect! And nobody at the table complained about their meals either! All the while our server and host Kindle took meticulous care of us, she was super friendly and made sure our drinks, plates, and bellies were all full. THANKS KINDLE! And thanks to the rest of the staff!
The Venice review by Stephanie
Love it! And enjoy sitting " inside out" on a rainy day. Everything was "A" Glass of wine and a delicious fig pizza. Perfect Shar (waitress) was great.
